Presence and Fun
Yes, Ligi - feeling the presence of somebody when interacting, and also the fun element in communicating make it a very rich experience and usually more effective than distance or virtual communication. Still, when I am on the phone I am never thinking that it is a defect of the medium that the person is not here - only if it is the very special beloved one. So, probably we will feel the same soon about all the other Web 2.0 interaction tools that will make the race or ride the wave and not drown.
